RANDY KEMP

Tribal Affiliation: Muscogee-Creek, Choctaw, Euchee

Randy Kemp is of Mvskoke, Euchee Tribe and Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. He is a retired environmental graphic designer after 30 years of service at Arizona State University. He is an alum of the Katherine K. Herberger College of Fine Arts and a recipient of an Associate of Arts degree from the reputed Bacone Junior College in Muskogee, Oklahoma.  

Randy is a multidisciplinary artist in the fields of painting, printmaking, mixed media, theatre, storytelling and Native American flute. His artwork has been exhibited in prominent museums, galleries and private collections throughout the world. 

As a music recording artist, he was nominated for Best Spoken Word and New or Debut Duo/Group of the Year at the 10th and 18th Annual Native American Music Awards (NAMA), respectively. He was also nominated for Best Instrumental Album at the Manito Ahbee Indigenous Music Awards (IMA) in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Randy also performed prelude flute music for President Barack Obama (70,000 in attendance) during the Arizona State University graduation commencement in Tempe, Arizona.
